Xavier will host visit from UK transfer Charles Matthews
Kentucky transfer Charles Matthews will visit Michigan next weekend and Xavier on June 17th and 18th, sources told @CBSSports.
— Jon Rothstein (@JonRothstein) June 4, 2016
Matthews was a top-50 wing prospect coming out of high school and has NBA-level athleticism. He would be a good get for a Xavier team that figures to lose a lot of perimeter talent after this season.
Four-star wing Naji Marshall cuts list to five, includes Xavier
Marshall is a soon to be top-100 wing out of DC. He is long and athletic and does a good job of finishing through contact. His body is starting to fill out, and he works hard on the defensive end. Marshall has already had a visit to Xavier and has a visit to Va Tech scheduled.

Matthews is getting squeezed out by Cal's next class; could Xavier be his destination?
ESPN60 '17 PG Paul Scruggs cuts list to eight, includes Xavier
'17 PG Paul Scruggs sends thanks to all Schools. Looking more at 8 potentials for now- Illini, IU, KU, UK, Lville, Ohio St, Mich St, Xavier.
— UA Indy Hoosiers (@Indyhoosiersbba) May 23, 2016
You can tell from the names left on the list that Scruggs is a top recruit. He's currently 35th overall and 7th among point guards in the 2017 class according to ESPN. Xavier has been prioritizing him as a recruit, and he'd be a great add to the class. His sophomore mixtape can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUpOB7Nt_Fc
Get to know Xavier recruit 2018 C EJ Williams
Crap on a corndog, this guy is monstrous. He's a left-handed center from Middletown who holds an offer from Xavier. Click through for more info.
Xavier offers 2018 G Eric Hunter on visit today
Blessed to Receive an Offer on a Great Visit today at Xavier University Thankyou to Coach Mack and Coach Steele❗️ pic.twitter.com/xBibYlqMEF
— #13 (@iamerichunter) May 14, 2016
Hunter is a 6'3" guard who can really score the basketball. He averaged nearly 30 a game as a sophomore and dropped 50 in a win in January. Along with Xavier, he's being recruited by Butler, most schools in Indiana, and most of the Big Ten.
Xavier offers 2017 G Elias Harden
Thankful and blessed to receive another offer from Xavier University ⚪️‼️ #XMen pic.twitter.com/w8Px1aGqIM
— Elias Harden4⃣ (@easymoneyEII) April 28, 2016
Harden is a shooting guard out of Georgia. He's about 6'6" right now and dropped 21 PPG while shooting 31% from deep as a junior. UC offered him in the winter, but his stock is rising now with Xavier and Maryland the latest high-majors to offer him a scholarship.
Xavier offers 2017 SF Jordan Nwora
Xavier is the latest to offer 6-8 @JordanNwora of the @RENShoops
— Adam Zagoria (@AdamZagoria) April 28, 2016
Nwora is a 6'8" forward from Nigeria by way of Buffalo. He recently impressed at the Nike EYBL in Brooklyn with his effort and shooting prowess. He has offers literally from coast to coast, with USC joining X in reaching out to him this week.
Xavier recruiting 2017 SF Kaleb Hunter hard
2017 Kaleb Hunter has picked up an offer from Tennessee Tech. He told us this weekend that Arizona St and Xavier are recruiting the hardest.
— MakePlayz (@MakePlayz_com) April 26, 2016
Hunter is a lefty who lives on his smooth jumper in the half court but has the athleticism to make plays in transition. He doesn't have much of a weak hand right now, but there's still plenty of time for him to develop it. He's now starting to draw high-major interest, so Xavier is in early.
Xavier offers 2017 SF Jared Ridder
Kickapoo (MO) 2017 four-star forward Jared Ridder (@jared_ridder) with announced an offer from Chris Mack and Xavier.
— Chip Miller (@BLUEChip_Miller) April 27, 2016
Ridder has a visit to Xavier scheduled for June.
Xavier offers 2018 G Tyler Herro
2018 guard Tyler Herro picked up offers from Auburn, Florida, Nebraska, Purdue & Xavier yesterday. Arizona has now been in touch.
— Evan Daniels (@EvanDaniels) April 26, 2016
As far as I can figure, his surname is pronounced "hero." Beyond that super important piece of information, you should know that Herro is a big time shooter who can also score it off the bounce, and his basketball IQ draws raves. Wisconsin and Marquette are really recruiting him hard right now.
Xavier offers 2017 G David Beatty
2017 guard David Beatty has landed a Xavier offer. Beatty has been impressive on the Under Armour circuit this spring.
— Jeff Borzello (@jeffborzello) April 27, 2016
Beatty is a 6'4" combo guard out of Philly. He can score it at all three levels, but toughness and effort are his consistent calling cards on the court right now. Georgetown has been on him hard, and Nova, Arizona, and Arizona State are also involved.
Xavier recruiting top 2017 wing Kris Wilkes
Top-30 junior Kris Wilkes was visited by Maryland, UCLA, Illinois, Michigan State and Xavier last week. Notre Dame becoming more involved.
— Jeff Borzello (@jeffborzello) April 25, 2016
Wilkes is a 6'7" SF put of Indy. He's a menace in transition with good length and athleticism. He's got good touch around the ring and in short mid-range, and his skills further away from the bucket are progressing. Pretty much every major school in the Midwest is involved at this point.
2017 G Paul Scruggs to visit Xavier
Southport guard Paul Scruggs has an in-home with Tom Izzo today, plans to visit Indiana, Xavier within the next 2 weeks, per his AAU coach.
— Jeff Rabjohns (@JeffRabjohns) April 20, 2016
Scruggs is an ESPN 60 guard with good handle and impressive athletic ability. He's at his best going to the rim right now, but his jumper is coming along. Just as pertinently, he's a good perimeter defender. The big boys from the Big 10 and national powers like Kansas are also involved.
Xavier visiting 2017 F Jamal Cain
Click through to the link for some more info. Cain is a 6'7" SF with a solid jumper and good skills on the glass. X has been on him since early on, but he's rising and I would suspect most major programs in the upper Midwest to give him a look this summer.
Xavier had an in home visit with 2017 wing Naji Marshall
Xavier is expected to complete and in home visit tomorrow with 2017 Roosevelt wing Naji Marshall
— Corey Evans (@coreyevans_10) April 17, 2016
Marshall is a 6'5", 200 pound guard who plans to commit this summer before spending his senior year at Hargrave Military Academy. He is a solid all-around player who especially takes pride in his work at the defensive end. Xavier, Va Tech, VCU, and West Virginia lead a pack of major schools involved.
Xavier offers 2017 G Sasha Stefanovic
Honored to receive an offer today from Xavier university!! #Musketeers #BigEast pic.twitter.com/O78Iof7IBT
— Sasha Stefanovic (@Sash_Stefanovic) April 17, 2016
Stefanovic is a guard out of Crown Point, IN who averaged 15/7/5 in his high school season and shot 38% from beyond the arc. Several mid-major Indiana schools offered him early, but Michigan and Indiana are also now involved.
Xavier transfer target Katin Reinhardt commits to Marquette
It looks like Reinhardt wants to have the ball in his hands on offense, which is obviously a role Xavier isn't looking to fill. We'll be able to get a good look at what we missed when he plays 18 games in the Big East this year. I would have liked him as a three and D guy, but if he wanted more, I don't think it's worth messing with the chemistry on the roster.
2017 SF Jared Ridder will visit Xavier in June
The Kickapoo wing's stock is on the rise and Xavier seems to be positioned well.
Xavier transfer target Max Strus to visit X, Butler this weekend
#Lewis transfer SG Max Strus tells me he is taking official visits to #Butler on April 7-8 & #Xavier #Muskateers on April 9-10
— Scott Burgess (@scottybscout) April 5, 2016
Now I really want this guy because I don't want Butler to have him. Beyond that, interest from another Big East program reinforces the idea that Strus is a baller.
Xavier commit Quentin Goodin to play at the Derby Festival Classic
For a mere 18 bucks you can get a glimpse of Xavier's future this weekend, as Goodin plays in a local All-Star game in Louisville. There's some pretty dadgum solid names on that roster; this should be some good ball.
2017 PF Dustin Harder took unofficial visit to Xavier
'17 Wellington PF Dustin Harder took an unofficial visit to Xavier today
— Zach Fleer (@ZachFleer270) March 25, 2016
Harder is a 6'9", 220-pound at The Wellington School in Columbus, where a friend of mine recently accepted a job. He helped the Jaguars make the state tournament this year.
Xavier signee Quentin Goodin named Gatorade Kentucky Player of the Year
Congrats to my guy @Goodin_3 on being named Gatorade Player of the Year in Kentucky. #HDfamily pic.twitter.com/6i46gXLXsn
— Steve Quattrocchi (@RealCoachQ) March 17, 2016
He did not win Mr. Basketball though, which has some people fairly salty.
2016 Xavier commit Tyrique Jones's senior mixtape
This will definitely be one of the top 10 mixtapes you watch all day, unless you watch an obscene number of mixtapes.
