Xavier welcomes back Jerome Hunter

WHAT DOES IT MEAN!?

Syndication: The Enquirer Kareem Elgazzar/The Enquirer / USA TODAY NETWORK

First, the news:

What does it mean? I don't know. Jerome Hunter was back at practice for the Muskies today, that much is almost entirely clear. What we can surmise beyond that is very limited, and there wasn't any context given by the program.

Whatever the case, it's great to see Hunter back in some sort of basketball action. He was an integral part of Xavier's Sweet 16 run last season, but he was ruled out due to a medical condition discovered late in the summer. There's more to life than basketball and there certainly will be for Jerome, but it's great to see that he has returned to a level of health at which he can participate in team activities.

Hunter averaged 7.8 and 4.4 and was a strong and versatile defender up front for Xavier last year. In a roster desperate for experience in the frontcourt, his return would be a welcome shot in the arm.
