Paul Scruggs is out tonight; Alpha Diallo is a game-time decision

The bubble battle between Xavier and Providence will be missing one and maybe two huge pieces.

Xavier guard Paul Scruggs will be out tonight against Providence due to what is only being described as a leg injury at this point. Scruggs will be day-to-day going forward. Scruggs is averaging 12.7 PPG on the year and leads Xavier with 44 made threes at a 37.3% clip.

Providence forward Alpha Diallo is currently a game-time decision with some sore of eye ailment that I'm assuming is conjunctivitis. If he's at all able to go, you'd assume he'll find a way to be out there. Diallo is averaging 14 and 8 on the year and is one of the best rebounding wings in the nation.

Dialls went for 14/6/3 Scruggs went for 13/4/5 and helped hassle Diallo into 5 turnovers in a 64-58 Xavier win at Cintas on February 8 of this year. The return leg tips off at 6:30pm tonight.
