The Big East finally does the right thing.

As Xavier and DePaul play a game happening in the strangest of circumstances, the Big East has finally reached the same decision as the rest of college basketball and elected to play the rest of the tournament behind closed doors. Effective beginning tomorrow, the Big East tournament will be closed to the public.

This announcement came on the back of the NBA announcing that its season is suspended after play tonight. In surreal scenes in Oklahoma City the game was nearly underway when training staff sprinted on to the floor to consult with referees, who then sent the teams back to their locker rooms. The game was called off shortly thereafter and it was announced that Rudy Gobert, an absolute knob of a human being, had tested positive for coronavirus. Just two days prior, Gobert had mocked reporters concerned about Covid-19 and then licked all of the microphones in front of him. No word yet on whether God directly infected him.

We’ll keep you posted on everything as it breaks. Right now it has to be said the NCAA tournament is very likely to be cancelled. It hasn’t yet, but mene, mene, tekel, parsin.
