The NCAA has finally done something about basketball! In perhaps the most encouraging news yet to come out about this upcoming season, the NCAA has announced that it has canceled March Madness at regional sites in favor of playing the whole tournament in one area. To quote them:
The article goes on to state that the NCAA is in negotiations with Indiana and Indianapolis to host the tournament there. This fits in nicely with the idea that we discussed on the podcast last week about taking a two week break after conference tournaments and then holding March Madness in a bubble with every team in the same area and all the pods together. This may not at all be the way we want this season to go, but planning the tournament at least means that someone thinks it may still happen.
