Xavier Adds Ohio Transfer Jason Carter

Xavier added a forward to next year’s roster in Jason Carter from Ohio University.

Carter is a 6’8” forward who will likely primarily play the four. He will also have two years of eligibility remaining and is on track be immediately eligible.

He will have two years of eligibility due a redshirt during his true sophomore season.

Carter led OU in scoring this past season with 16.5 points per game, in addition to averaging 6.7 rebounds a game while shooting 34.3% from three-point range.

He should be an important piece next season, and could slide right into the starting lineup next to Quentin Goodin, Paul Scruggs, Naji Marshall, and Tyrique Jones.

Carter played well when the Bobcats visited Xavier during the non-conference schedule this past season, scoring 17 points and grabbing four rebounds in 35 minutes of action in an 82-61 Xavier win.
