First, the news:

Zach Freemantle is a 6'9" senior forward out of New Jersey who helped himself out with a very productive summer this year. Toughness and athleticism are his calling cards; he's active around the rim at both ends and can go get the ball over bigger dudes. Where he has really taken a leap is in the polish of his offensive game, where he has continued to add range to his jumper. He has enough flick to project to play the stretch four at the next level.

Like almost all incoming big men, he is going to have some work to do in the weight room. Xavier beat Tennessee, Boston College, Minnesota, and a host of others to get a commitment from him.

Freemantle joins recent commit Daniel Ramsey in Xavier's 2019 frontcourt. They both play the 4/5 and should have plenty of opportunities to get immediate run, as Tyrique Jones is the only other big man currently projected to be on the 2019 roster.
