Xavier has landed its first commitment from the class of 2020 in four-star point guard Dwan Odom out of Georgia. Odom is 6'3", 180, and growing into a strong build.
Odom's calling card on the floor is his athleticism. He is an explosive end-to-end guard who is borderline unstoppable in transition. He plays above the rim with ease, throwing down a series of impressive dunks off the drive and lob at the recent Super 6 Showcase. He has good court vision and looks to get into the defense and get his teammates involved.
Odom's jumper is a work in progress, but it has come along since he first emerged on the scene. Rivals currently has him at 40th in the 2020 class. Along with 2019 G Elias King, Odom is Xavier's second commit out of Georgia since Travis Steele took over, and he and King have the potential to form a dynamic partnership that will pick up right where Q and Scruggs figure to leave off.
