Everybody in your office - even people who haven’t followed college basketball for about 340 days - will be talking about the NCAA tournament. A lot of people will need reminded of how many teams are in or what sport is being played, but no matter. March Madness is a cultural phenomenon.
All that to say that nobody in IT is going to dime you out today when you spend most of your shift on KenPom.com or your favorite analytics site researching who will win a second-round matchup that isn’t actually going to happen. It’s that time of year.
While you’re at it, join our bracket challenge. There’s nothing to win, but there’s also nothing at stake. This isn’t really about winning this year; it’s about this day in March 2018 when someone asks who won last year’s challenge and you can just smile smugly and stare off into the middle distance. Yeah, you know who won.
