After never hearing back from the crew in Indy, we finally got the chance to talk to an upcoming opponent! To help get us ready for the game against Georgetown today, we talked to our good friends over at Casual Hoya. Let’s see what he had to say before we tip off.
1.) What has been your favorite win of the season so far for Georgetown?
Fave win definitely the win over Oregon in the Maui Invitational. Not so much because we actually beat a decent team and that would have been a nice resume builder had everything not fallen apart, but Bill Walton was calling the game that has been the lone highlight of a dreadful season. We are the volcano!
2.) Georgetown looked good in the first half against Butler, as well as us, but then fell apart late in the game. Why are second half's scary for the Hoyas?
Because we don't make adjustments like ever and do the same thing over and over again?
3.) Cincinnati is a nice city, but not really known as a tourist destination. How would you rank the Big East cities in terms of how much you would like to visit them?
I actually really want to go to a Butler game at Hinkle, so I'll put that at the top of the list of Big East venues I want to visit, followed by the joints in Omaha and then Cincy. If I were to rank them as overall cities though:
1) NYC
2) Chicago
3) Philly
4) DC
5) Milwaukee
6) Indy
7) Cincy
8) Omaha
9) Providence
10) South Orange
4.) Georgetown has a brutal next couple of games with at Xavier, vs Creighton, and at Butler, so what upcoming part of the season are you most excited for?
The end.
5.) Score prediction?
After the no-show at home against Providence, I have no reason to expect anything less than as ass-beating. Mazel tov on your win! Muskies 76 - Hoyas 62.

I myself have felt pretty down on this Xavier team right now, so hopefully we can right the ship against Georgetown today. After all, what basketball is more exciting then two teams in a funk? Be sure to check out our preview for the game as well as what the crew over at Casual Hoya is posting. They are one of the best blog groups in the college hoops world, and at the least the situation at Georgetown will make you smile about Xavier.
