Per this release, Semaj has re-signed with the OKC Thunder and is headed back to the team that drafted him out of Xavier. Originally drafted in the second round in 2014, Semaj spent that year with the D-League's OKC Blue, posting a game line of 18.6/3.7/5.7 with 1.6 steals in 33 minutes per game.
After that year, Semaj spent a year in Italy, posting similar success across the board in 30 games for VL Pesaro. Now he will come back to the states, hopefully for good.
The Thunder had a high-profile summer thanks largely to Kevin Durant's departure, but Christon isn't coming back to a bare roster. The first interesting battle for him will be against former mid-major star Cam Payne, who most recently was more backup dancer than backup point guard for OKC. If Semaj impresses to an extent that Payne cannot, he'll be in line for reserve minutes to spell Russ Westbrook.
If you want to catch Semaj in action in person, the Thunder will be in Cleveland on January 29th. Good seats are still available.
