Four-star 2017 G Naji Marshall commits to Xavier

Welcome to X, Naji!

Heck yeah.
Heck yeah.

Xavier's 2017 class added another huge piece today as Naji Marshall announced on Twitter that he is committing to join the Muskies. Xavier has been recruiting Marshall hard for a while and it appears their efforts have paid off. Marshall joins shooting guard Elias Harden and forward Jared Ridder in the 2017 class for X.

Marshall is a great get for Xavier largely because of how athletic he is. He's a solid 6'6" wing who can really get into the middle of the defense and make plays. He has drawn raves about his basketball IQ and his defensive abilities over the summer, and he'll slot nicely into the developing 2017-2018 roster for the Muskies.

The 2017 class is shaping up to be a monster for Xavier. The Muskies are still in on a host of high four-star guys, including guard Paul Scruggs and wings Jermaine Samuels and Kris Wilkes. With the 2016 class already holding PG Quentin Goodin and powerful bigs Eddie Ekiyor and Tyrique Jones, Coach Mack is free to prioritize wings and scorers this time around. Once again, X is reloading.
