2016 Big East Tournament matchups, tip times, TV info

The best conference tournament in college basketball is set to tip off.

After ten weeks of double round-robin play - the perfect setup for conference play, by the way - everything is finally sorted for the Big East tournament at Madison Square Garden. For four nights beginning on Wednesday next week, the ten teams will duke it out for the conference's automatic bid.

For some teams, it will be a shot at coronation before heading to the Big Dance. For others, it will be their only shot at making the tournament at all. Somewhere in between will be a couple of teams trying to solidify their resumes of a tournament run. Here's how it will set up:

Xavier will get the winner of Marquette and St. John's, both of whom they have beaten twice on the year. Should Xavier get the win there, they'll take on the winner of Seton Hall and Creighton, both of whom they split against. Whatever happens, it's going to be a great weekend heading into Selection Sunday.
