Xavier's opponents will be the Weber State Wildcats, the Big Sky conference tournament champions. Weber State is 7-0 on neutral sites this year, but they have played just three times and won just once against the RPI top 100. Of their 31 D1 games this year, 26 have come against teams outside of the RPI top 150.
Weber State's best win is over KenPom #80 South Dakota State, their only KenPom top 100 win. Throw in a sweep of Montana and you have Weber State's only three wins against team in the top 150 of the Pomeroy rankings.
The Wildcats are led by 6'2" junior guard Jeremy Senglin, who averages 18.2/3.6/2.8 on .493/.442/.618 shooting. He is joined by big man Joel Bolomboy, a 6'9" senior who averages 17.2/12.7/1.1 on .581/.365/.702 shooting. Bolomboy is an excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor and draws nearly 7 fouls per 40 minutes.
Xavier will play on Friday, March 18th in Saint Louis. They Muskies will play the late game on Friday, which should tip sometime around 9:40pm or so EST. If they win, they will get the winner of the Wisconsin v. Pittsburgh game.
