When someone can make a logical argument for Virginia being ranked ahead of Xavier, I'll consider taking the polls seriously. Until then, we live in world in which most people apparently think that a five loss team that lost to both George Washington and Virginia Tech and this week won just one game is somehow better than Xavier. No, Xavier hasn't lost more recently. No, Xavier hasn't had a worse loss. No, Xavier doesn't have more losses. Virginia is a very good team, they are certainly among the national championship contenders, what they aren't is worthy of winning one game over NC State and jumping five spots while Xavier wins two and only moves up two.
This is a fun thing to get annoyed over, but let's not get too wrapped up in it. Xavier is a well earned fifth in the nation and is a very reasonable Final Four contender. It's possible to get all bogged down in the minutae of the polls and fail to process how amazing it is to have our team in the top five. When ranting about Virginia being ranked ahead of you is the biggest immediate concern, life is very good indeed.

Doofus of the Week:
Quick, name the Conference USA power that lost to Louisiana Tech last week, doesn't have a top 100 win, and is definitely worthy of a top 25 spot. If you are Chuck McGill, you both confidently and insanely insist that team is UAB. Short of a massive cash payment, there is no reason for the Blazers to appear on anyone's ballot. Previous teams listed here have had at least something resembling a bad argument to be ranked. UAB has no argument at all. We're talking a team 110th in KenPom, 86th in RPI, 112th in BPI, and 90th in the Massey. This pick is as stupid as it gets. You, Chuck, are a huge...
