Xavier slips a bit farther down the polls

When you don’t put much stock in human polls, it’s hard to get to worked up.

If you don’t win games, it’s hard to complain about no longer being in the Top 10. Xavier dropped after losing to Baylor, and that dip continued this week. You can argue that road losses to one excellent team and one very good one shouldn’t damage opinion of a team too much, but it’s certainly hurt X in the eyes of the AP voters. For what it is worth, 17th falls much more in line with the 22nd Xavier sits in the Massey Composite. Here’s the rest of the numbers:
