Lakers Draft Workouts: Matt Steinbrook | Los Angeles Lakers
It's more Matt Stainbrook coverage, this time with 100% more e's than should actually be in his name. Honestly, if you are a professional organization, don't you take the time to spell your recruits names correctly? Maybe Kobe wants everyone to have an e now. Maybe it was a play on beer drinking. It's hard to say.
Nate Soria Named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American - Xavier University Official Athletic Site
I won't spoil the numbers here, you can click through to see them, but this kid pounds. More than that, he represents Xavier's first ever postseason All-American in baseball.
Iowa State considering Steve Prohm, Lindsey Hunter as next head coach - SBNation.com
Iowa State Cyclones to interview Bryce Drew, Brad Underwood, Steve Prohm for head coaching position
Neither of these sites mention Coach Mack, who hasn't popped up in consideration for the ISU job anywhere other than this hacky list from the Des Moines Register. Misdemeanor charges against VCU’s Mo Alie-Cox dropped | CollegeBasketballTalk
These two go together because they are part of the spreading epidemic of assault involving college players. Brandon Austin may never play again after being accused of sexual assault on both the Providence and Oregon campuses. Austin feels victimized by his own actions and would like another shot. Mo Alie-Cox was cleared of charges that he punched a woman in the face when, according to a legal analyst, "the video [of the incident] had to have given the prosecutors enough reasonable doubt" that he had not committed the act.
Ohio State announces completed non-conference schedule | CollegeBasketballTalk
And look at that commitment to playing in state! Why, the Buckeyes play...they play... well, no one from Ohio. Once again, Thad Matta is too much of a coward to even take on teams like Akron or Miami, let alone Xavier, the best program in the state last year.
What are the elite jobs in college basketball? | CollegeBasketballTalk
As Rob Dauster points out, it's June, so there's not a lot to talk about.
