Lauren Hill dies at 19 after battle with brain cancer | USA Today
Lauren Hill reached her dream of playing college basketball with Mount St. Joseph's, including her season opener at a sold-out Cintas Center. She ultimately scored 10 points in 4 games before her condition deteriorated to the point at which she could no longer play. She passed away at 19.

Mark Cuban: College basketball has referees that ‘couldn't manage a White Castle,' poorly prepares players for NBA | Dan Feldman
I don't really care about how the NCAA prepares players for the NBA, and I don't agree with a lot of things both Cuban and Feldman say here, but he's absolutely right about the officials. Neither of them could have made a run at Hurley?

Re-SR: What Does D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera's Return Mean for Georgetown? | Casual Hoya
The Georgetown community over at Casual Hoya was freaking out when they thought DSR was gone; this time swing by to read their probably overly-optimistic assessment of what his return to campus means.

Cincinnati, Butler to begin home-and-home series | Jon Rothstein
Two of the teams I hate the most are going to be playing each other the next two seasons. I hope they both lose both games.
