Who wants a #BusToBloomington this Sunday?

Xavier soccer just beat Monmouth in double overtime to advance in the NCAA tournament. Fan engagement was sensational at the XU Soccer Complex, ultimately culminating in the barrier between the players and their supporters being breached. Now Xavier is heading out to Bloomington to take on Indiana. The home field will be Indiana's, but the crowd advantage doesn't have to be.
When I was in college, one of my good friends from the baseball team transferred out to pursue his career elsewhere. Circumstances arose such that he was was playing in a super regional tournament series near Pittsburgh. Troops were rallied, SUVs were procured, and we set out at dawn to make the first pitch.
By the time it was all said and done, his team had advanced and I was rolling back home in the middle of the night. The drive time was double the amount of time we spent watching baseball. It was totally worth it.
The point is only this: down the road, every one of you contemplating the #BusToBloomington will have a spouse or children or work at 6 the next morning or any number of the things that make life more of a drag than college was. When that time comes, will you be able to look yourself in the mirror and know you made the right decision this weekend?
Skip studying. Call in sick. Forget sleeping in. Get your butts on the bus. You won't regret it; I promise.
