We managed to get our hands on a copy of the letter (thanks, source!), which is posted below. We blocked out the Dean of Students' phone number for obvious reasons; if you want to call him up and abuse him, do your own leg work. Beyond that, here's the letter everyone is going to be talking about.
If it's too small to read, click it and it will pop larger.
This is somewhat unexpected following the school's already significant punishment of the players involved. While launching of projectiles onto a playing surface cannot ever be condoned, surely this is not the first time the rest of this has happened. A quick scan of Google and YouTube will find myriad instances of rowdy student sections and questionable language at sporing events. That same scan will not return any results for previous bans of entire student sections.
And make no mistake, this is a ban. Xavier students who do not attend a mandatory "reflection session" will not be allowed to attend another Xavier game this year. You can couch it in whatever terms you like, Xavier University has just suspended its very own fanbase.
