Xavier announced today that sophomore forward Dezmine Wells has been expelled from the school effective immediately. A press release from the University stated that Wells was guilty of a serious breach of the Code of Student Conduct and that "the punishment for the violation is expulsion from the University." Obviously, this rocks the foundation of the Xavier team for the upcoming year.

Wells was Xavier's leading returning scorer and rebounder and was figured to be a huge part of the team on both ends of the floor. With his departure, the Muskies return zero starters from last year's squad. Coach Mack has brought in a talented class this year, but now they are going to be facing a massive task without Wells on the team.
